It’s been just over a week since TIFF announced its first round of selections, and I still find myself a little underwhelmed. It should be noted that I’m certain this feeling won’t last, and I’m certain I’ll have fun. I think the only reason for my slight disappointment comes from an article in The Toronto Star that morning about potential gets for the festival, and how few of those gets actually materialized.

One film I am excited to potentially see, is directed by a director I’ve always admired. To boot – it’s stacked with a very talented young cast. The only question I have, is whether I’ll be able to refrain from reading the book this month in anticipation…
