We’re back! The Matineecast checks in again from the 43rd annual Toronto International Film Festival with another pair of first time guests.
During the festival, I happened upon a nifty local podcast called “We Really Like Her”…and I just had to reach out to its badass hosts and see if they’d join me to break bread (spoiler alert: they said yes). So to get another audio dispatch out into the world, I sit down in a somewhat crowded cafe with Danita Steiberg and Erica Gagne. Over an adult beverage or three, we meet face-to-face and catch up on the first week of fest-ing. I’m happy to report they live up to their show’s reputation and bring the goods!
Tonight we talk about feminism in film, being a good ally, and where we hope TIFF goes from here.
Don’t confuse The Rivoli with C’est What, and pull up a chair!
Here’s what’s in store in WLT Part Two…
Runtime: 37 minutes
Films mentioned in this postcard – ENDZEIT, THE WEEKEND, FIRECRACKERS, THE WIND, and VITA & VIRGINIA
