Is there a filmmaker that you weren’t paying much attention to off-the-draw, but then suddenly noticed you’d become a fan of? That’s Noah Baumbach for me.
His latest effort was one of my favorite films to come out of TIFF 2014, and I’ll be interested to see where the conversation around it goes when it drops later this year. Which side of the generational divide do you think you’ll fall into?
It can’t be any worse than Frances Ha.
I could have swore you liked Frances Ha. This one really has a different tone to it, and a very different struggle at its core. I’ll definitely be interested to hear your thoughts when it drops!
Ooo, this looks great! Seems like an idea that hasn’t been overly used in movies yet.
