My 2013 experience at TIFF ended with a film that was puzzling.
Brian Glazier’s UNDER THE SKIN wasn’t the sort of film I’d say I enjoyed exactly, but all the same it isn’t the sort of film I’d say I regret watching either. It includes some sublime visuals, but also subjects the audience to long stretches of tedium. While I might not have come away raving about it…I certainly haven’t forgotten it either.
What say you folks? Does this look like something you might go for…or something you might pass over?
I want to see it no matter how pretentious it might be.
Pretentious isn’t the right word for this.
When you see it, be sure to let me know what you think: I’m wicked curious about people’s reactions.
