I don’t know about you folks, but I haven’t thought very much about X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE in the four years since its release.
It feels a little strange to say that considering how much I liked the X-Men films, and Wolverine’s role within those stories. Presumably, a story that was all about him, and gave him a chance to interact with a whole other gaggle of heroes & villains would be a joy. Instead, the film we were given has fallen back into the back. My conciousness of it ranks somewhere in between THE INCREDIBLE HULK and DAREDEVIL.
But now we’re going to go back to that well, and learn where Logan went after the events of LAST STAND.
What do we think folks? Summer blockbuster, or July also-ran?
Eh. I like that they’re taking him to Japan, as I always enjoyed those comics, but this doesn’t look very good to me. I had hoped they would do something different visually, so I’m disappointed to see it look like the last Wolverine movie stylistically.
I hope this is good. The last one was one of the most disappointing cinema experiences of my life.
You sir… don’t you talk bad about Incredible Hulk… Ed Norton rules in that. Didn’t you see the scene where he couldn’t bang his gf because he was getting Hulk excited????
PS. I honestly like Incredible Hulk a lot.
Wolverine… this film is one I kind of want to watch, I want it to be good… but it just doesn’t look any good.
This better be good. X-Men Origins: Wolverine was without a doubt one of the worst films ever.
