Moments like this, I feel like reminding myself that a mere two years ago I wasn’t even into anime as a film genre. Guess I should send out another word of thanks to Alex, Allison, and Ryan for setting me straight!

They pulled me so completely into the light, that in amongst this year’s TIFF selections, I dedicated a ticket to the latest offering from Hayao Miyazaki. Unbeknownst to me at the time, it looks like this will be the final offering from Hayao Miyazaki, who has since announced his retirement!
