A little over seven years ago, I was delighted at TIFF to witness the premiere of Marjane Satrapi’s PERSEPOLIS. The movie – which I still believe in underrated – was a beautiful debut by the Iranian writer. While I somehow managed to miss her follow-up effort, CHICKEN WITH PLUMS, it looks like I had best move it to the top of the stack.

After all, Ms, Satrapi has a new film coming and I wouldn’t want to be left two steps behind…especially not with this weirdness on tap!
