  1. Glimpses Of Hobo… isnt that a Sting album?
    you have nice handwriting Hatter
i think this could be a regular feature – nice to read your scribblings

  2. I have to admit I'm dreading watching this movie. None of the selections this month really appeal to me, except maybe Manhattan.

  3. Ha. I know seeing this again would probably enhance my thoughts on this, but I just don't care to see it again.

  4. I've been meaning to watch this movie again for the longest time, what a freakin' head trip. That mud hobo, man. WTF indeed.

  5. Mulholland Dr…hah…I remember re-watching it instantly after I saw it for the first time, like, it ended, and I rewatched it right there. Bam! Gotta watch it again!

Love it, so spooky…I have a whole big explenation for it. Maybe Ill blog about it some day, it involves god and the devil…heaven and hell….

  6. @ Ross… Sting album – that's funny shot. Know the interesting thing about my handwriting? It became that neat from me trying to be a smartass and print as legibly as possible because people claimed they couldn't read my cursive.

@ Univarn… I'm down with a lot of the movies coming up, not all – but certainly a lot. Gotta admit this much about MULHOLLAND…it's certainly original!

@ Andrew… Now I think you should force yourself to sit through it again.

@ Aiden… If it's possible, it was even weirder than I remember (though I did immediately download that spanish Roy Orbison song to my iPod).

@ Number Six… Don't get me wrong, I love it…I just still don't get it. After I write my piece this weekend I'll double back and read yours.

@ TFC… My dvd remote was getting a workout for how many times I had to rewind and rewatch. Lookin' forward to reading your attempt at an explanation.

  7. Good idea. It is more important than ever that you don’t read mine before you write your review. I have included “David Lynch's 10 Clues to Unlocking This Thriller”. It explains a lot of what is going on.

  8. haha "WTF?" is definitely an apt summary for this movie.

Mullholland Dr is the kind of film that I liked the more I thought about it after the fact, even though while I was actually watching it I didn't enjoy it too much.

Also check out "Promising Actress" by John Vanderslice, a lovely song all about this movie. Really gets to the sadness of it.

  9. I tried to watch Mulholland Drive three years ago. It was the weirdest thing ever. I might try and watch it all the way through someday.

Oh, and you have very awesome handwriting.

  10. Just letting you know, I have nominated you for a Kreativ Blogger award. It's not as exciting as it sounds 😛

(ps yeah I know you've already won but still, it's the thought that counts, amiright?)

  11. Oh yeah also I hated Mulholland Dr. first time I saw it. I look forward to rewatching it and eviscerating it for the Movie Club

  12. I sometimes jot notes down, too, if I know I'm going to be writing about it.

Have you seen "Inland Empire"? – it gives you the same WTF symptoms, but like "Mulholland Drive," you won't be able to shake it and it has moments of brilliance.

  13. @ Andy… Glad Lynch has a clue because I can't seem to find one with two hands and a flashlight.

    (Wait, that didn't sound right…)

@ Alex… I love it too, and truthfully can't wait to write about it. I'll definitely listen to that song before I do – thanks for the suggestion!

@ Marcy… thanks – even my grocery lists look like that. Do watch it all the way through. It saves it's craziest shot for the end!

@ Tom… many thanks, and great work on those LAMBcasts.

@ Chase… Nope. Can't say I've seen it – but it would appear as though I've just added another title to the ever-growing "To-See List"
