It feels strange to say that some of the shine is already off the STAR TREK apple, and yet, I can’t help but feel like there are some who were so grumpy over INTO DARKNESS that the entire relaunch of the franchise has already become something of a failed venture.
Even as this trailer dropped, I couldn’t help but overhear online grumbling, if not full-on apathy.
Is that true? Has all of the spark that came with going back to the final frontier just six short years ago already dissipated?
I’m not that excited about this movie, which surprises me. I think part of is that I didn’t like Into Darkness, but the trailer also feels even more action-packed than the others. I’m guessing it will be fun, but I’m not that excited right now.
