Editor’s Note: If you came looking for the CONTAGION review, it’s been pulled for a while, but will return this Friday at noon. – RM
I don’t usually post trailers on Tuesdays, but given that we are fully in the run-up to TIFF, I thought I’d share with you fine folks a glimpse at a film I am dearly hoping to see at this year’s festival (more news on what I scored in advance tomorrow).
This could be one of those sleeper hits this year – it played really well at Cannes and has already been picked up by The Weinstein Company. Gotta wonder though – are mainstream audiences hungry for a modern silent film?
Not going to watch the trailer (rumors that it gives away too much), but am looking forward to this, as I’m a fan of the director and star’s spy-spoof “OSS 117” films.
(Welcome to The Matinee buddy)
I’m not watching it either, ‘specially since I’m hoping to be watching the film itself in just over a week.
I just post ’em – I don’t always watch ’em.
I’m impressed at how authentic it looks. If I didn’t know any better, I would have sworn it had been made in the 1920’s.
