Comic Con took over the pop culture news this weekend. I’d wager you already knew that if you were anywhere on Twitter, Facebook, or the like.

While Nerdy Ol’ Me did get a quick rush from glimpses of upcoming projects like a new season of “Stranger Things”, THOR: RAGNAROK, and JUSTICE LEAGUE, by far the biggest geek-out moment came from this first glimpse at the next Steven Spielberg film, READY PLAYER ONE.

I fell hard for this book a few years ago when I first read it – probably because it tapped on a lot of my favorite cultural tropes, or perhaps because I read it at a time where I wasn’t reading quite as much…and as-such, it was a bit easier for a book to make an impression.

Regardless, the references are coming hard and fast in this flick. How many can you spot?
