True story:
The first time I ever watched Danny Boyle’s TRAINSPOTTING, it was Easter Sunday. The young’ns that gathered on the occasion wanted to watch the movie (this was back when you had to rent physical media, so someone brought along a tape).
On it went.
In the family room.
With our parents around.
And aunts and uncles.
And our grandmother.
Yeah…it was awkward.
Maybe we should all gather together for a family outing to see this in theatres this winter?
I was 15 when Trainspotting came out and I saw it a year later on TV I think or maybe I rented it. It is still one of my favorite films ever made as the trailer for the sequel has me very excited.
I actually just watched Trainspotting and it properly teared me up, having battled the exact same demons that Renton does. A sequel though? I remember thinking that could be possible when it ended the other day, and now I see this…. not sure what I think about this
Whoa. Who’s idea was it to watch at a full on family gathering???
Other than that – perfect timing!
Can’t wait for the next one. I was lucky enough to be in Edinburgh when they were filming. But not lucky enough to find the set. I did have a funny situation where I ended up next to ewan McGregor before a film at the festival though…
