I’m not sure why I didn’t post this trailer when it first dropped back in the summer, but all of the effusive reaction coming out of New York this week (where the movie premiered at NYFF) has me wanting to double back. I’ve long been a fan of the book this film is based on, and while I’d long hoped a movie might be made from it, I also wondered how that would ever be possible. Word around the campfire is that not only has Ang Lee successfully adapted the tale into a great movie, but his use of 3-D in the adaptation is exceptional.
Pretty safe to say that my level of anticipation has climbed several rungs…
This looks like it will be a good movie. I think that it is going to be a bit of a tear jerker. Who knows. It could be a really great movie.
