Perhaps THE DARK KNIGHT affected the couple sitting to my right in a way that I was immune to.
Did anyone else see this movie and feel the overwhelming urge to whisper, cuddle, canoodle and make out with their date for 2.5 hours?
(I just don’t understand people sometimes)
I kept my lady friend at arms length during the movie. No nookie in Dark Knight was agreed upon before we walked in.
I think we completely forgot that the other person was even in the same theatre for 2 1/2 hours.
Afterwards, we looked at each other and said “Oh, you saw TDK too?” Then we got back in the car and drove home together.
Depends on the date.
OK, I’m semi-kidding. The cineplex is a poor place for the movie-canoodle. Now, if we’d seen it at the drive-in…

I would ask the same thing of the idiots down the row from at United 93.
No way…are you kidding me??
UNITED 93 ?????
Makes me think of Seinfeld making out during Schindler’s List.
I actually knew some people who made out during Schindler’s List (though they were watching it on TV – wait, that’s worse because they could have shut it off…) And they weren’t doing it in some gratuituous ironic reference to Seinfeld either; they genuinely didn’t seem to realize that there was anything odd about it.
I’d like to say I’m surprised to hear a couple made out during SCHINDLER…but stupidity like that doesn’t shock me anymore.
Gotta disagree with you though movieman – that’s better, not worse, because at least they did it in their ownhome, and not in a crowded theatre making the people beside and behind them feel awkward.
Nayana’s right…these sorts of people need to stick to the drive-in.
