As if writing this blog isn’t entertaining enough, gauging the traffic on this blog can be even more interesting (fyi – I consider days where I get 40 hits a “good day”).
At the moment, it seems as though a certain phrase typed into Google is getting me hit after hit:
“synecdoche new york explanation”

Stupid question: how does one gauge blog traffic? I've been doing it by comments, which has been pretty depressing as of late…(I blame Thanksgiving and my recent focus on Twin Peaks & D.W. Griffith, narrow appealers to be sure…mea maxima culpa!)
But seriously, how can I see how many hits I've been getting? Despite several months of blogging, I'm still something of a Luddite.

It’s kinda cool, you can see hits, how they were referred, which pages they read, even where they are in the world (I’m huge in Germany).
