How Soon is Now?

I have three hours and forty five minutes to go until my screening begins…and I’m starting to believe this is the most ramped up I’ve been for a movie in a long long time.

Today has been an endless hive of anticipation…

…overhearing a girl’s conversation about the movie in a coffee shop…thinking back to watching BEGINS on dvd last night…trying to avoid reading reviews even though I know I want to…knowing many of my brethren are sleepy-eyed this morning from midnight screenings…many of my co-workers wishing me a Happy Dark Knight Day…

It’s too much I tell you – too much!!!

Underneath it all, I’m thinking ahead to what I might write when I get home tonight and try to make sense of it all in a review. I must be honest with myself and admit that I’m going in as a big big fan. However, as much as that may cause me to babble on as if it’s the second coming of CITIZEN KANE, it might also lead to me being hard on it with such lofty expectations.

Well that killed eleven minutes. Only three hours and thirty-four minutes left…
