Heroes

During today’s screening of CONTROL, I got to meet Anton Corbijn for a few moments. I told him I was a photographer, and that his work inspired me. He thanked me, wished me luck, and told me to enjoy the film. He also autographed my LP copy of All That You Can’t Leave Behind by U2 (he shot the image on the cover).

We spoke in the tunnel that leads from the lobby of the Scotiabank Theatre into cinema one. he is a good foot or so taller than me. As he was speaking with me, and autographing my record, the music of David Bowie was blaring over top.

In the movie of my life – this would be one of my favorite scenes.
