I return to the theatre after too much time away. It caps off a week of zombies, Swedes, and surfers.
Lots of classics, a few more Best Picture winners, and some superheroes to keep me company on a day home sick.
We start the year anew with no trips to the theatre yet, but still much goodness – both new and old – watched from the comfort of my couch.
One last shoulder-check on 2012. Were I really an obsessive compulsive, I’d have found a way to watch ten more films!
I consider whether i made a wrong move in the company of Fellini, Capra, and O. Russell. Oh, and did I mention Connery in a loin cloth?
During a melancholy week I return to Middle Earth, complete the Hitchcock double-feature, and catch up with the best documentary of the year.
We’re getting into a reflective time of year folks, and the titles that make up this week’s watchlist practically glow with reflection – both for this year, and for years past.
There was a lot of watching this week…watching a little bit of everything. With it all came a moment where I compared this year’s tally to last year’s.
