Welcome to the weekend everyone. I find myself in a great mood as I write this, and it’s not just because the whole apartment smells like Lady Hatter’s snickerdoodles (although that doesn’t hurt).

I’m in a good mood because there are options again at the multiplex…I’m in a good mood because in just three days I’ll be sitting down for a beer with Steve the Film Cynic…heck, I’m even in a good mood because it’s not even Saturday and the next Matineecast is already assembled and ready to upload. That’s right my pretties – everything’s coming up Hatter!

My good mood might end in a moment because we’re about to watch MORNING GLORY, but I remain optimistic. Happy days are here agin.

King of Pain Voting Update!!
WHAT A GIRL WANTS leads the way with a whopping 10% (And I reckon I can guess who’s responsible for that). Right behind we find THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS and NEW MOON with 9% each. Next down on the leaderboard we find CAMP CUCAMONGA, AIRBORNE, and SPACE CAMP…which to me smacks of Lady Hatter rigging the vote.

Lots of time left to influence my misery, so do keep voting.

But enough about me.

For your listening and reading fulfilment, I give you…

The LAMBcast turns it up to eleven with one badass episode dedicated to SPINAL TAP.

If you don’t get enough of your ya-ya’s out voting on The King of Pain selections, head over to Row Three as they have created a March Madness bracket pitting the best directors against each other.

It doesn’t seem as though he outright hated it, but Dylan was so stymied by the latest round of Cagesploitation that it prompted two separate posts at Blog Cabins.

If new releases ain’t your bag and you want to track down one of the best films of the 80’s, perhaps The Void’s review of SID & NANCY can whet your appetite for one of Gary Oldman’s all-time greatest performances (and that’s saying something!)

Did you know that bathing frightens Rachel?

The Kid in The Front Row is preaching encouragement. yet another reason why the man is a bright spot in the darkness that the blogosphere can be.

Enjoy!
