Three weeks ago, Manohla Dargis wrote something of a plea for sanity in The New York Times. With The Sundance Film Festival on the horizon at the time, Dargis wrote a plea to buyers and programmers that they not snap up every last little film that tickles their fancy in the filmgoing bliss that is Sundance.
In short, she declared, that in the age we live in there are simply “too many movies“.
In light of this, the Avengers assembled and rolled tape…wondering if Dargis was on to something, or if the stresses of being an NYT critic had finally caused something to snap. So today, I proudly give you the largest cast of characters that an episode of Mamo has ever assembled – including yours truly. As always, I was honoured to be asked to take part in this round of reindeer games.
The episode can be found here. Any comments about how wrong I am, and how lush the lounge we recorded from sounds can be left below.
