I love talking movies.
I love talking music.
I really love talking about the musicĀ in movies.
So when my friend Corey Pierce came to me with an idea for a new podcast that focused on soundtracks, I first kicked myself for not thinking about it sooner, and immediately leapt at the chance to sit down and give it a go.
On the surface, the show is about music, but Corey has a talent for steering the conversation back towards his guest. So when you tune into this episode – note “when”, not “if” – you’ll actually be learning a lot more about me and my childhood than you will about the music or the film.
So come back with me to a movie that dropped when I was nine, and an album I grew to love at age ten. Cut yourself a slice of watermelon and listen in as Corey and I discuss all the ups and downs of the DIRTY DANCING soundtrack.
The episode can be found here. Any comments about how dorky a child I must have been can be left below.
