Every time I feel like I’m ready to close the book on 2013, another moment arises to look back on a small piece of it…and to that end, few opportunities were more welcome than rapping about a film I dearly loved with two podcasters I deeply respect.
Zach from Film Jive, a podcast I don’t plug nearly enough around these parts, had been hoping to get me on for his Christmas Episode. Forces conspired against that unfortunately, but in a small way I’m glad since it nudged me towards a discussion I was a bit more excited to take part in. And so it was that I got to discuss a film that made my top five list – one that even would have ranked a bit higher upon after I rewatched it for this episode – Spike Jonze’s HER.
Making the evening all the more interesting was the fact that another podcaster I don’t plug nearly enough joined in. A man usually caught on the Director’s Club Podcast, Jim Laczkowski sits in on the discussion.
So grab your headphones and get comfy. It’s time to discuss the wonderful world of Spike Jonze – listen here.
Many thanks to Zach for bringing me on.
Ryan, thanks again for joining me on the show. It’s always great to jive with you, as rare as it is lol. Hopefully, we can do it again soon!
Sorry man – meant to respond to this much sooner!
I’m always down for podcasting, but have something of a “don’t invite myself” rule. So if you ever have me in mind for an episode, drop a dime!
