As I try to get things back to normal around these parts, I begin by backing up a few days…actually, several weeks.
In the realm of movie podcasting, 2014 will go down as the year I was pulled into the orbit of Jamie Dew. Back in the winter, when I heard a call to join in on a new Oscar podcast that was launching, I decided to throw my name in since we all know I’ve never met a microphone I didn’t like. What I didn’t anticipate was how stellar an experience The Dew Over would become, and how great a guy our host Mr. Dew himself would be. In many ways, you could say it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
As winter turned to spring, Jamie began pulling guests aside one-by-one to dine in various locales around the city and rap about things a bit less movie-related: namely, the guests themselves.
So wouldn’t you know it, the man tapped me on the shoulder and said “Hey, let’s go get a cheeseburger and roll tape!”…or whatever the equivalent term for “roll tape” is these days.
And so it was that in the warmer months of 2014, Jamie Dew and Ryan McNeil sat down for cheeseburgers and talked of many things. Many thanks go out to Jamie for having me on the show.
