Over the last month or so, I’ve made appearances on three episodes of Jamie Dew’s stellar roundtable podcast and have continually forgot to plug our handiwork on this space. What kind of ungrateful guest am I? If I keep this up, Jamie’s never going to invite me back!
On this episode, I’m joined by four other guests to dig headlong into the Best Picture candidates from 2007…and if you’re keeping count, that’s the second episode in a row for me where the prevailing wisdom is that it’s a year where Oscar got it right. Once again, you’d think that would leave us very little to talk about, and once again you’d be wrong. One thing we agree on though is that this is one great class of Best Picture nominees – in what was otherwise a great year in recent cinema history.
