Tom and Summer
A lower tally this week thanks in part to particular football game, a lot of errands, and a lot of time spent in Dr. Lecter’s office (specifically, of the season two variety).

Happily though, this week I have finally started digging into all of those movies on my PVR that have been recorded off TCM. Making it that much better? TCM has finally started broadcasting in hi-def on the cable provider I’m subscribed to. So where I once had to put up with blocky resolution and windowboxing, now I get to bask in some delightful video!

Maybe one of these months, I’ll actually make it a project to watch all of the movies I have recorded before moving on to other things. Going through one-a-night oughta catch me up pretty quickly…of course, for certain films I’ve recorded like DOCTOR ZHIVAGO or HOW THE WEST WAS WON, that’ll kill my whole evening.

Hmmm…this might require port…

Here’s the week at hand…

Screenings
A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT – The more I think back on this film, the more I love it. This handily would have made my top ten of 2014.

Streaming/Blu-Rays/DVD’s I’ve Never Seen
THE LADY FROM SHANGHAI – Can I just spen d my whole weekend in that house of mirrors?
BILOXI BLUES – Sorta strange seeing Walken play someone mild-mannered.
THE MIRACLE WORKER – Why did I always think this movie was in colour?

Streaming/Blu-Rays/DVD’s I’ve Seen Before
GROUNDHOG DAY – On Groundhog Day!! Aren’t I clever?
THE FIFTH ELEMENT – For podcasting purposes…and it turns out my guest is super-stoked.
DESPERADO – Every time I watch this film, I feel like I’m eighteen again.
