I’m not entirely sure what to think of tis remake. it could sink like a stone, but considering Chloe’s work in the LET THE RIGHT ONE IN remake, I’m willing to give it a shot.

Yes trailer mix-up but good god it looks kind of bad. Moretz is putting me off. The only person I might see this for is Moore. Her playing Margaret White seems like dream casting.

Interesting and brave casting, a high school student who is young enough to actually attend high school. Isn’t the average age of a high school student in a movie school about 25!
Badass Digest made the observation that the entire thing feels like it’s right out of a video game. It’s the cut scene that precedes the big boss battle. I didn’t have that reaction watching it myself, but it definitely plays that way on rewatch.
That said, I don’t get the impression that that’s actually a scene from the film– it feels like it was engineered for the purposes of advertisement and marketing. So, yeah, it looks kinda bad, but I don’t think it’ll make its way into the finished film.
And yes, Moretz is talented. I think she’s the only real reason I’m excited for this, apart from Peirce’s involvement and the murmurs (which the trailer seems to confirm) that she’s working closer to King’s original story.
This is such an abomination. Hopefully Moore won’t embarass herself and resuces the film with her work.
