While it fills me with great joy to see that my favorite director has returned with a new offering – and one that looks a lot less syrupy than his last offering – I deeply want Señor Spielbergo to hire a new firm to cut his trailers.

I think I can tell what this movie might be. When I put myself in the mindset of MUNICH, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, or MINORITY PARK…I think I can graft the tone and pace of what the finished product might be. But this trailer requires one to stretch my imagination far more than I should have to.

So considering the power Steve-o has in Hollywood, I’m hoping that he finds himself hooked up with Fincher’s People or PTA’s people, and we can get a sexier trailer for THE BFG.
