Don’t adjust your set – I’m all over the place this week.
NXNE has thrown me for a bit of a loop schedule-wise, so my usual posting rhythm is a little bit pear-shaped at the moment. There will be lost to look forward to in the coming days though…a new links round-up after a week off, a fresh Freeze Frame entry (any requests?), and two feature reviews.
For now though, I’m leaning back on the last-minute default and sharing a trailer – one that actually fills me with great excitement! Alejandro González Iñárritu is a director whose films I’ve always been drawn to. One wonders if after great breakouts in North America by del Toro and Cuaron, if it is now his turn to shine?
Well I don’t know about you folks, but as much as I’ve enjoyed his usual overlapping narrative, I’m happy that he’s seemingly trying something new.
This trailer pushed this film into my #1 anticipated spot. So glad he’s trying his hands at something lighter. Black comedy seems like it would suit him. Brilliant trailer.
I hadn’t given any thought yet to “Films I hope play TIFF 2014” until I watched this trailer…
