So here’s the thing…

Yesterday I went to the Hot Docs kick-off press conference and got details on a lot of cool docs that I hope to see in about one month’s time. I couldn’t wait to sit down and tell y’all about it.

Then I met up with pretty much all the other Toronto movie bloggers.
And drank.
A lot.

So allow me one more day, and in the meantime, take a gander at the trailer for the doc that’s gonna kick off the whole she-bang as the opening night gala.

  2. @ Mike… Someone suggested I apply for accreditation, and I was granted press status for the fest.

    I think that they're still taking applications, so if you wanted to cover it, I'd suggest throwing in for it – if I can get access, it stands to reason that you can too!

  5. Hatter, thanks for the tip, the worse part about it though is that it is taking place right in the middle of exams which will leave my no time to do anything but. Gah, maybe next year.

  6. Ok Hatter, I got curious anyway and went to the site to check it out. What kind of pass did you get and did you have to pay for it? I'm very curious about this now.

  7. @ Mike… The media accreditation supercedes a pass. Eseentially, I get in for free in exchange for providing coverage of the festival here.

    In past years, I've done a ten film pass, and usually tossed the cost for it on a credit card.

  9. @ Sasha (and Mike for that Matter)… Shannon the Movie Moxie organizes these pub nights once a month or so. Drop her an email and I'm sure she'll get you in the loop as to when they're happening. maybe you both can start coming out once your finals are done.

  10. Ugh I hate this trailer- it was all over the place in NYC around Christmas. It looks very boring and makes the incorrect assumption that everyone is obsessed with babies. But it will indeed make billions.

    Anyway I'm looking forward to your coverage of the event! I feel like I don't watch enough documentaries so maybe this will inspire me!
