We’re mere days away from  October, and once again my beloved Toronto Blue Jays will be sitting on the sidelines as the post-season unfolds. It’s tough being a baseball fan in Toronto sometimes. What gets me through is the fact that beyond my home team, I’m a fan of the game on the whole. I love the drama that can unfold at any moment, and the history that has brought us this far.

Guess that means 42 will be right up my alley.

The film will have a tall task on its hands to tell the tale of Jackie Robinson without getting melodramatic, but as always I remain hopeful.

As for The Blue Jays, there’s always next year…right?
